What Our Clients Say?
Myself, my sister and my brother in law spent 7 beautiful days in tranquil, serene and wonderful Bhutan. Manager Sonam worked tirelessly with our agent to plan and execute and perfect vacation away. Guide Tpee and driver DD were a perfect pair/team to be our personal guides. We choose the adventure package which included hiking, rafting, biking, and even did some horseback riding. We are in our 50's and 60's and in average shape; but with patience we were able to all things planned and hoped for. Was able to hike to the Tiger's Nest during a snowfall! Quite magical. Hotels and food were fantastic and you won't be disappointed. Like being at an all inclusive resort with no worries yet in the middle of a magical land. Considering your daily fee includes really everything; to include helping maintain their environment and local standard of living; it is worth any idea that you are splurging a bit. We were never bored nor overworked. Nice balance of activity and down time. Don't risk your booking. You can choose anybody for the same price....so choose the best, A Bucket List Adventure!

I just got back from 8d/7n trip with Nima and Nomchu, sampling the charms of Bhutan and it has been no less than amazing. From the inquiry process until departing the country, things went so smoothly. I booked my trip quite last minute (let’s say 2 weeks before departure) but Sonam still managed to pull it off perfectly. Especially when it comes to bank transfer, which, let me tell you, an absolute pain. Sonam went extra mile and helped me step by step with all his heart.
Our tour was a well mix of trekking and sightseeing. Nima and Nomchu were both brilliant, very knowledgeable, caring and super chill. Rest assured you will have someone taking care of your altitude sickness, swapping out “ara” for water and drag you back to the hotel when you are a bit drunk one night. 😉
Oh, and the whole team at A Bucket List Adventure are super duper friendly, feel like you are joining their family.
Bhutan is mysteriously amazing by itself, but the team here definitely a wonderful addition to your experience. Make sure to stock some betel nut for the guys, they’ll be in treat 🤘🏼.

This is my second adventure in Bhutan with A Bucket List Adventure. This year my time schedule was a bit tight so I could not easily do one of the "traditional treks" however the team put together a great 5 day Trek up to the Jomolhari Base Camp. Flexibility is one of the things I really appreciate with A Bucket List Adventure, especially since I am usually a Solo traveler.
What a wonderful adventure. It not a Trek for those not in good shape. Day 1 is a tough hike up to Thangethangka about 22 kilometers. Lots of great hiking with plenty of places to recover a bit. But a good 8 hour hike.
Next day was the Trek up to the Mt. Jomolhari Base camp (4,100 Meters). What an incredible experience. When I woke up there was a spectacular view of the mountain. Then an easy 3-4 hour hike up to the camp.
I decided to spend an extra day at the Base Camp and do a few day hikes. Darn it was a lot of fun. In the morning I did a hike up to the base of the Mountain, then back to camp for Breakfast and a little rest, then in the afternoon a hike up to Tshophu Lake (4,400 meters).
Then a hike back to Paro.
Nima was my Guide for the second year, he has done the strenuous Snowman Trek a few times and is a great guide. Yeshi was our Assistant Guide. Big thanks to Yeshi as I had a bad patch for a couple of hours (sometime it happens) he stuck right next to me the whole time. I was lucky that Sonam Chef (can't call someone who makes meals that great a cook) was available to be the team cook so we ate incredibly well.
In all a great quick trek to Bhutan. I certainly got my moneys worth. I am already thinking about next year, hopefully my schedule will allow me to do a longer hike. Can't wait.
In closing I really enjoy working with A Bucket List Adventure. Sonam was so patient as I sorted through my business travel arrangements and when I could fit in an adventure. Once we got things squared away we worked out what I wanted to do and then I just sat back and let him and his team take care of all the logistics.
